Selecting a Registrar

Not all registrars are created equal. Registrars have different offerings. Some offer hosting, email, web site development and other services, and some offer ony domain name registration.

Be careful when selecting a registrar, often you get what you pay for, so a discount registrar might not be your best option. CIRA charges all registrars an annual fee, as well as a fee for each domain registration or renewal. When you register a domain from a discount registrar who only makes $1 or $2 profit, do you expect to get any service. If you have questions, do you expect these discount registrars to answer their phones or actually call you back? Think about this when your selecting your registrar.
